Job Description

As the Senior Process Engineer, you will be a member of the Engineering & Technology Group based at our Webster Groves Technical Center, reporting to the Technology & Engineering Manager. You will be responsible for the development of chemical process improvements for ICL’s manufacturing operations. You will also support MTS in the development of new products and/or processes for new products. The application of sound engineering principles is essential. This team member will also be required to manage development projects and interface with our commercial and manufacturing resources.

  • Provide technology leadership for process and cost improvements in manufacturing sites.
  • Support MTS when requested with customer issues as they arise
  • Investigate plant process issues and work with the plant to implement solutions
  • Identify opportunities for cost, quality, safety, and plant maintenance improvements and prepare recommendations for management consistent with company objectives
  • Lead special projects that may be cross-functional and multi-site
  • Maintain active contact with plant engineering managers
  • Analyze customer and competitor process technologies for competitive advantage
  • Maintain knowledge of the latest technological developments in the marketplace and propose innovative improvements to the current process.
  • Provide cross-functional problem identification and resolution
  • Identify novel and unique process improvements for patent protection consistent with the company’s strategy

 


What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field
  • 10 years or more of chemical manufacturing experience
  • Plant engineering experience
  • Capable of concurrently handling multiple tasks with conflicting priorities
  • Ability to work effectively as an individual, within a team, and to lead a team
  • Strong written, oral, and electronic communication skills
  • Well organized with excellent time management skills
  • Travel requirements, 10% typical, up to 50% for active projects; may include international travel

Compensation at ICL: If you are hired at ICL, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. We also offer a generous benefits package (more information on benefits listed below).


Salary Range: $96,000 - $132,000 


Annual Bonus Target: 7%, subject to plan provisions.
