We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as the Treasury Operations & Systems Specialist, reporting to the Head of Treasury Europe.
The Role:
The Treasury Operations & Systems Specialist will manage the cash management operations across multiple countries within the region. This role involves managing cash pooling, in-house banking, and ensuring efficient liquidity management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in treasury operations, excellent analytical and communication skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
The Responsibilities:
- Manage daily cash operations, including cash positioning, forecasting, and reporting.
- Manage and optimize cash pooling structures to ensure efficient use of funds across the region.
- Administer the in-house bank, including intercompany funding, settlements, and reconciliations.
- Ensure adequate liquidity to meet the company’s operational and strategic needs.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations related to cash management and treasury operations.
- Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls related to cash operations.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and control within cash operations.
- Preparation of the reports on cash activities to management.
- Align cash management processes across European countries in scope.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Continuously gather and analyze data on potential fraud threats.
- Develop and maintain accurate cash flow forecasts to support effective liquidity management.
- Contribute to the development of rolling forecasts for finance expenses, providing insights for financial planning and decision-making.
- Collaborate with other departments to address and optimize cash planning.
The Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or a professional certification (e.g., CTP, CFA) is a plus.
- Extensive experience in treasury or cash management, with a focus on cash pooling and in-house banking.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in treasury management systems and financial software.
- Knowledge of SAP (Must Have) and QAD ERP systems (Nice to Have).
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and multinational environment.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex situations, identify key issues, and develop practical, results-oriented solutions.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining accuracy and high-quality standards in all deliverables.
- Highly adaptable and resilient, with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Proven capability to exercise sound judgment, work independently, and make informed decisions in situations requiring maturity and discretion.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with a track record of delivering high-quality results within established timelines.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure, manage competing demands, and meet challenging deadlines while maintaining professionalism and focus.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proven ability of navigating and harmonizing processes across countries.
- Fluent English.
