Are you the Area Sales Manager that will maximize sales and growth of our Specialty Fertilizer products in the Middle East and West & North Africa? Are you happy to travel up to 60% and eager to develop new markets and customers? Then we might just be looking for you!

About the role (available per April 2021)

As our new Area Sales Manager Middle East and West & North Africa for our Innovative Agricultural Solutions organization, you will manage our existing distribution partners, as well as expand distribution into new countries. As the sole sales representative of ICL, you will increase sales of ICL’s products by aggressively, but ethically, pursuing opportunities and by providing support like training, field trial assistance and technical demonstrations to our distributors and end-users. You need to be particularly self-dependent and -motivated to go after the many opportunities this large region.


You’ll drive effective monthly sales forecasts and liaise with our Sales Support department to ensure a seamless supply. Beyond that, you’ll develop and maintain an accurate market description (segment, size, and potential) to establish and update a 5-year strategic business plan that reflects our overall company strategy and the central growth initiatives. This includes managing the price positing of our portfolio in your region and making sure the agreed budget margins are met.


More specifically, you will

  • propose an annual sales program for the responsible market segment, based on marketing data obtained from customers as well as competitors
  • propose improvements of the distribution channels
  • manage grants and trial programs (with the international Technical Manager) for your regions
  • provide technical support to our dealers and end-users
  • maintain a high degree of communication between the company, end-users, governmental authorities, sales and distribution organization

About you

Being a stand-alone professional for your region (60% business travel when possible again), you are highly capable to self-manage; you are proactive, result driven and act with integrity. This role requires a confident, culturally sensitive professional with strong analytical, communication and presentation skills. You are hands-on and well organized. Please be aware this role is available after April 2021.


Furthermore, you

  • preferably have a BSc in Horticulture, Agriculture or equivalent, and at least 5 years commercial working experience in the agricultural sector. Fertilizer knowledge is considered a great advantage
  • are fluent in English and French (verbally and in writing)
  • are experienced in using CRM software and MS-Office


This role could be homebased in the Netherlands, but Belgium or France (near an international airport) would also be an option.
