In ICL Fuentes we produce NPK liquid Fertilizers, Blended Granulated NPK Fertilizers and Water Soluble NPK fertilizers. Our installations include a very large storage capacity of both solids and liquids and various packaging plants.
You will be responsible for the management of our three sites in ICL Fuentes, including Production, Quality, Logistics, Maintenance, EHS, Planning and Engineering. Accountabilities involve ensuring a safe and responsible production environment and infrastructure that delivers, in a cost-effective way, quality products within specification and on-time to the market. Improvements to capacity utilization, manufacturing processes, inventory control and product quality are in the scope of this position.
About the job
The team includes 80 professionals (staff and operations) of whom you must assure that are performing in an optimal mode, supporting the business goals of ICL and within the boundaries of the Spanish rules and regulations.
You will have 8 staff members reporting directly to you.
In one site Operations are working in two shifts.
You will report to ICL Growing Solutions, SVP Global Operations
Your responsibilities will include:
- Operate the facility within legal, social, ethical and ICL corporate policies.
- Ensure a positive culture in the plants.
- Develop and ensure effective relations with all stakeholders: Commercial teams, employees, shared services in the head offices in Spain, Amsterdam and Israel, external departments and customers.
- Work with HR to ensure an effective relationship with external prevention services, external HR service (social Secretariat), Disease control body/absenteeism and Country specific legal support.
- Develop, recruit, motivate and coach the site management team.
- Develop a highly flexible, market focused operation, implementing break-through operations management techniques like change over time reductions, bottleneck management, time-based performance measurement, efficiency management, continuous cost reduction, etc.
- Develop, implement and monitor plant KPI’S including plant operating budget.
- Execute investment projects in the plant according to approved CAPEX budget.
- Degree in a relevant technical field: Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Business Administration or a related degree.
- Knowledge of recent trends in operations concepts.
- Operational knowledge and experience with the Spanish Labor & Industry Legislations is preferred.
- 10 years of experience in managerial roles including leading operations and managing production sites.
- Fluent in Spanish and English.
