Part-time HR Manager Growing Solutions Spain

 

Role’s purpose:

This is the perfect opportunity for a strong HR professional who wants to make a difference and support our team for Specialty Fertilizers on all HR matters. 

As key member of the European HR management team, the HR Manager is embedded amongst local business management, providing generalist HR guidance & support and driving the achievement of business goals through workforce development. The HRM will have specific responsibility for:

 

Overall HR Management for our Specialty Fertilizers GS business in Spain (a scope of 140 employees)

 

About the role

As the HR Manager you are responsible to support and advise all levels of management regarding the full Employee Life Cycle. You will consult them with suitable actions and base your advice on your HR professionalism, policies and guidelines, ethics, efficiency, uniformity, timing, budget and legal aspects. 

You will also be responsible to develop the talent in our business with the annual HR processes, like onboarding, performance management etc. Off course you are also there for the employee regarding their HR questions. Another great challenge will be to manage changes and implement organizational initiatives.

 

Your key responsibilities will be: 

  • Consultant to Management regarding the Employee Life Cycle

Provide support to the management team regarding the events in the employee cycle - recruitment, hire, promotion, transfer, disciplinary, LOA and termination.
Consult to the managers whether to take action, how to take action, is there a more suitable action to take, what terms should the employee receive, how to communicate this to the employee and more. 
Base the consultation on HR professionalism, policies and guidelines, ethics, efficiency, uniformity, timing, budget, legal aspects etc.

 

  • Working with the European Total Rewards team to ensure a smooth implementation of the annual compensation cycle.

 

  • Participate in the implementation of specific projects, procedures and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the organization.

 

  • Develop Talent 

HR annual processes (example: performance management) - communicate process in the site, consult to managers, participate in site level calibrations, present conclusions to site management, collect and provide feedback and participate in lesson learned.
Training - contribute to annual training plan and provide site needs, serve as SME where relevant, support the managers in training challenges. 
Managers onboarding – Provide HR information to the new managers and establish a relationship with the new manager.

 

  • Help managers provide an engaging and supportive workplace culture.

You will work together with all stakeholders global and local in the business, with support of your HR colleagues from Total Rewards, Learning & Organizational Development, Talent Acquisition, HRIS and HR Operations. Together we support the business! 
 

About you 
We are looking for an HR Manager that enables a people centric culture driven by integrity, accountability and empowerment that delivers continuous success and growth for all.  

To be successful you bring: 

  • At least 8 years Human Resources experience at an appropriate level
  • High interpersonal communication and influencing skills and the ability to interact well at all levels, displays tact and diplomacy, high sense of integrity and is valued as confident.
  • Excellent organizational skills; proactive, hands-on, professional and confident.
  • Decision Making, problem solving, flexibility and creativity.
  • Able to apply HR and business knowledge supporting our business goals with appropriate decision-making skills.
  • Fluent English language.

 

Education and Experience

  • Educated to a minimum Bachelor’s Degree level (Human Resources or other related discipline).
  • Relevant experience in an international and multicultural environment
  • Experience with HR Information systems, like SuccessFactors, is an advantage.
  • Up to date knowledge of Spanish employment law is required.
