RecyTex is an innovative startup focused on revolutionizing the textile recycling industry.
The startup is a spinoff from an ICL born R&D project and is a part of the ICL Planet venture creation and incubation activity.
We’re looking for an experienced R&D Senior Lead to shape our research and development initiatives, drive innovation, and create solutions that will impact the textile industry's future.

What will your responsibilities be?

 As the R&D Senior Lead, you will be instrumental in building and leading our R&D team, developing processes from the ground up, and spearheading projects to bring novel solutions to market.
This role is perfect for a visionary leader with hands-on experience in materials, polymers, chemical processing, fibers or related R&D, who thrives in fast-paced, mission-driven environments.

-Team Building & Project Leadership:
Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing R&D team. Oversee research projects from ideation through to development and fulfillment, ensuring alignment with company goals and timelines.
- Process Development:
Design and implement robust R&D processes and industrial approaches including project management frameworks, technical systems and methods, protocols for testing and validation, quality control and documentation.
- Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Engineering and Business Development, to align R&D activities with commercial objectives.
- Resource Management:
Define necessary equipment, technology, and lab/workshop space needs to support R&D initiatives and secure appropriate resources.
- Regulatory & Compliance: 
Ensure all R&D activities comply with relevant regulations and contribute to the development of sustainable, eco-friendly solutions.

What are we looking for?
- PhD in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in R&D, preferably within material sciences, polymers, chemical processing, fibers, or sustainable materials.
- Proven leadership experience, with a successful track record of building and managing R&D teams.
- Strong understanding of research methodologies, testing protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Passion for sustainability and a commitment to creating impactful change.
- Experience with eco-friendly and sustainable practices in the chemical and recycling industry.
- Knowledge of advanced recycling technologies and materials science.
