Job Description
As a Technical Sales Manager focused on our dairy and beverage segment, you will lead all aspects of sales and customer engagement. This includes translating business strategy into actionable sales tactics, developing account plans, and serving as the “voice of the customer” within the organization. You will be responsible for one of ICL’s key product lines and collaborate closely with the Global Food Management Team, the Dairy/Beverage R&D team, and sales and marketing teams to drive growth and uncover new opportunities across the entire Food B2B value chain.
Location: Home Based (Near major airport)

- Build customer relationships deep inside the organization with Purchasing, R&D, Marketing, and others
- Develop and maintain customer profiles, relationship plans, and targets
- Achieve customer and territory key performance indicators (KPI’s)
- Identifies and targets growth opportunities by customer with resource plans to support customer growth objectives
- Sales growth and increased share at key customers
- Contract and pricing management
- Key contract negotiations
- Identify, support, and track customer opportunities via salesforce.com
- Key interface between our customers and our Webster Groves Technical Center outside of St. Louis, MO
- Manage volume forecasts from customer base
- Understand customer, market, and competitor trends and communicate back to the organization
What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?
- A bachelor’s degree in food science, or a related field
- A minimum of 10 years of food ingredient experience in R&D and/or technical sales
- Dairy and beverage customer development experience
- Food Application experience with customer R&D required
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills including dispute resolution
- Highly developed communication skills appropriate for all business situations
- Demonstrated skills in negotiating in difficult and complex situations
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and change
- Able to drive opportunity development and prioritize and manage multiple projects in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and presentation skills; strong personal presence both with customers and internally with ICL
- Willingness and ability to travel 50-75% of the time

Compensation at ICL: If you are hired at ICL, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. We also offer a generous benefits package (more information on benefits listed below).
Salary Range: $96,000 - $122,000
Annual Bonus Target: 15%, subject to plan provisions.
