Job Description
As the Technical Sales Manager for the South Central region covering Texas and Oklahoma you’ll have the chance to establish and grow ICL's Growing Solutions business from the ground up. This role will require an entrepreneurial mindset and will be responsible for building and growing the sales of the crop nutrition portfolio including granular, water-soluble, controlled release, and liquid fertilizers. This will include customer relationship management from the distributor to retailer and grower level and a broad portfolio of ICL products. This role will work closely with product portfolio managers, agronomy, marketing, and sales operations to ensure a positive customer experience and the highest level of commercial excellence.
Location: This position will cover areas within the South Central USA territory including Texas and Oklahoma. When not traveling in the field, this position will work remotely from home.
I’m interested! What will I get to do in this position?
- Achieve/exceed territory sales budgets across the ICL product portfolio
- Build relationships with existing retail and distribution clients within the territory
- Expand relationships with new distributors, retailers, growers
- Develop a sales growth plan for market expansion within the territory
- Provide technical support to customers on the use of granular, liquid, water-soluble, and controlled-release fertilizers used in Agriculture
- Develop and execute the sales and marketing strategy derived from the business plan including responsible management of company budgets
- Provide market insight on competitor activity
- Produce sales forecasts on an annual basis and monthly updates to support the ongoing S&OP process
- Represent the organization at trade shows, events, and demonstrations
- Fully utilize SalesForce for recording customer interactions and review SAP dashboard reports to manage the territory
What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?
- Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy or related field preferred with coursework in plant science, soil science, plant health, and plant nutrition preferred
- Must reside within the assigned territory
- A minimum of three years of experience and demonstrated success with agricultural sales
- Existing distributor, retail, and/or large grower connections within the geography
- Experience developing complete nutrient management programs following Good Agronomic Practices (GAP)
- Analytical skills: the ability to read and understand nutritional values relating to soil, water, and plant material
- Must be able to manage personal goals, and corporate objectives and keep a customer-centric focus
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including public speaking and presentations
- Computer skills to include: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Map Point
- Must have excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in an outdoor setting that may be cool, wet, hot, or dry and could require standing, walking, and lifting of up to 50lbs in cool, wet, hot, or dry conditions
- Demonstrated ability to contribute and collaborate in a team environment
- Enthusiastic problem solver with a can-do attitude
- Travel Requirement: 60%

Compensation at ICL: If you are hired at ICL, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. We also offer a generous benefits package (more information on benefits listed below).
Salary Range: $88,000 - $121,000
Annual Bonus Target: 20%, subject to plan provisions.
