For more than a century, we have contributed to making the Bages Region a highly relevant mining center, where the extraction of potash, a natural fertilizer, essential for agriculture throughout the world, but also sodium salt, has been uninterruptedly maintained, intended mainly for the chemical industry.
We are looking for an IT Infrastructure/Service Desk Manager located in Súria (Barcelona)
Role’s purpose:
The Local IT Manager ES will be responsible for the conception, implementation, and operation of local IT infrastructure solutions on a functional level, as well as enhancements of the existing local environment. Furthermore he/ she plans and implements Infrastructure IT projects, simplifies, and optimizes the working environment for the users.
In this role he / she will lead teams of Onsite Technicians to develop or maintain the local IT environment.
Main Responsibilities:
IT Management
- Manage local IT budget.
- Asset management
- Manage\Coordinate local Infrastructure projects.
- License and contract management
- Local audits & surveys. Internal, external and authorities.
- (Cyber)Security trustee
- Responsible to be compliant with SOX, GxP and any other regulation.
- Responsible to be compliant with ICL IT Infrastructure standards.
- Responsible to plan and achieve work plans, budget, training, projects.
- Responsible to coordinate the collaboration of his / her Team of Local Technicians during the analysis of the Events, Incidents, Problems, Requests, Access, and Changes, supporting the Help Desk in the 1st level support, or escalating them to the Global 2nd level support Infrastructure Team.
- Quality Assurance on Spain user provisioning.
Infrastructure:
- Conception and optimization of the existing local server, storage, client, and network environment.
- Planning, installation operation and maintenance of Microsoft Windows server systems.
- Responsible of local servers File- and Print-Services, Remote Desktop Services
- Work closely with all other Global IT Infrastructure teams and the IT global infrastructure service provider teams.
- Monitoring of server- and network environments
- Responsible of local VMWare Server virtualization environments and storage systems
- Simplification and optimization of the working environment for mobile users
- Service and support on:
- Service Requests/Incidents in remedy.
- Telephony services & support
- Escalated incidents (high severity)
- Manage\coordinate local server environment.
- Provisioning & Lifecyle management IT Hardware (Servers, Workstations, Laptops, phones, MFPs, etc.).
- CFGS Computer Systems Administration, Computer Engineering or Similar
- Speaks Spanish and Fluent English language.
- min. 5 years’ experience as IT Lead, Project manager, IT Manager
- min 5 years’ experience working in a global organization.
- Understanding of IT infrastructure and security architectures
- Knowledge of Microsoft Client/Server operational systems and applications
- Service oriented thinking

- Excellent interpersonal skill
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Fluent written and oral English language skills
- Planning, project management and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals, objectives, and infrastructure services.
