In this role, you will be responsible for leading procurement activities for indirect services across the Spain HUB. You will drive strategic sourcing initiatives, ensure alignment with global procurement strategies, and act as a key partner to site management. You will report to the Head of Indirect Contractors and Energy for technical services and to the Indirect VP for all other procurement activities.

 

Your responsibilities:
•    Lead and implement procurement improvements and process optimizations
•    Take full responsibility for HUB performance, ensuring compliance with ICL standards
•    Manage all regional procurement activities not covered by Global Procurement (GPO Amsterdam)
•    Collaborate closely with Global Sourcing Managers and support the execution of category strategies
•    Act as the key procurement representative within the HUB and ensure optimal service delivery to sites
•    Coordinate procurement needs across HUB sites and align them with global strategies
•    Participate in and lead negotiations for key HUB contracts in alignment with global teams
•    Oversee implementation of local, regional, and global contracts within the HUB
•    Maintain a strong data-driven approach, monitoring PR/PO processes and driving timely execution
•    Build strong relationships with site management to ensure alignment on needs, savings, compliance, and risk mitigation
•    Lead, coach, and develop tactical buyers within the HUB
•    Act as a problem solver and escalation point for procurement-related challenges
•    Drive continuous improvement in service levels and procurement efficiencies

 


Your profile:
•    Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Master’s degree in Business, NEVI 1 or NEVI 2 is a plus
•    5–7 years of relevant procurement and contracting experience, preferably in mining or chemical production
•    Strong experience in indirect procurement and stakeholder management
•    Solid understanding of procurement processes and organizational structures
•    Experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP
•    Proven track record in managing complex, cross-functional procurement initiatives
•    Strong analytical mindset and data-driven working style
•    Ability to lead change and operate effectively in a matrix organization
•    Skilled in coaching and developing teams
•    Results-driven, decisive, and pragmatic with a strategic mindset

 

Languages: Fluent in English and Spanish
