Storeroom & Facilities Supervisor

As the Storeroom & Facilities Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising all aspects of the storeroom. The Storeroom & Facilities Supervisor has at least one direct report and will be required to manage and lead storeroom initiatives. This position will utilize inventory management principles to develop and execute a plan for storage of parts and supplies. This position will work closely with regional and corporate procurement and accounting. The Storeroom & Facilities Supervisor is also responsible for understanding and maintaining accurate information about the facility utilities, including updating drawings and managing related projects.

Support ESH Compliance
- Complete all mandated and regulatory training
- Comply with all Plant Safety and Environmental Policies, Rules and Procedures
- Maintain storeroom and stores yard in neat clean, orderly and safe condition
- Audit inventory of safety items and equipment to ensure adequate supply available
- Maximize opportunities to recycle waste materials from stores
- Promote good and maintain ISO and safety/housekeeping standards
- Perform job safely, in an environmentally sound manner and in accordance with all cGMP requirement
- Support plant safety initiatives
Supervise Storeroom
- Help foster attitude of growth and improvement within Storeroom
- Track Storeroom KPIs
- Manage actions to improve Storeroom performance
- Perform payroll, discipline, and other supervisory functions
- Attend meetings and provide insight to maintenance department initiatives to increase efficiency
Manage Inventory
- Develop and maintain classifications for inventory (A, B, C method)
- Maintain and update Bills of Materials
- Maintain and update parts descriptions and part substitutes
- Analyze inventory data to determine required stock levels
- Work with vendors to determine lead times and expedite parts
- Lead internal and external storeroom audits
- Determine cause of incorrect cycle counts and implement corrective actions
- Manage capital spares and capital repair items
- Assist Engineering with projects for capital items
- Monitor and act on all MRO purchase requisitions
- Work with vendors to monitor and improve our Vendor Managed Inventory
- Update and improve Excel workbooks used to monitor inventory
Maintain and Design Storage
- Organize, layout, maintain and stock materials to improve maintenance efficiency
- Routinely review storage of obsolete and unused parts and remove them
- Design shelving layout and assign parts locations to any new storage additions
- Improve processes for incoming and outgoing parts
Facilities Management
- Understand, maintain, and modify drawings for facility utilities such as water, steam, electricity, and sewer.
- Provide knowledge and support during utility issues and troubleshooting
- Manage routine maintenance of facilities like tuckpointing, roof work, gutter repair, and other general facilities services.
- Manage projects involving utility work on-site
- Recommend and support project requests for larger facilities related projects
Manage Services
- Manage blanket POs with service providers
- Plan and schedule maintenance on plant vehicles and equipment
- Plan and schedule grounds maintenance and landscaping
- Plan and schedule outside services for Storeroom and surrounding areas
Recordkeeping
- Maintain Stores SAP computer system records and supporting data
- Assign and maintain records for stores capital items
- Correct computer data when necessary
- Set up new stores item numbers entering all relevant data in accordance with established methods
Supervise Storeroom Budget
- Monitor big ticket items and provide analysis on need
- Prepare data for stores month-end reconciliation
- Review and understand stores budget and variances
- Responsible for inventory accuracy
What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?
- Associate degree or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Engineering Management, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related education experience preferred but not required
- One to three years plant experience strongly desired
- Stores operation or equivalent experience in material storage practices desirable
- Strong computer skills
- Strong analytical skills with previous experience
- Previous SAP experience strongly desired
- Working knowledge of basic accounting practices
- Excellent organization, clerical, and housekeeping skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to train others and share knowledge of storeroom operation and practices
- Works well with all levels of personnel
- Ability to safely exit out of the plant in the event of an emergency
Compensation at ICL: If you are hired at ICL, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. We also offer a generous benefits package (more information on benefits listed below).
Salary Range: $87,000 - $119,000
Annual Bonus Target: 7%, subject to plan provisions.
