The Stationary Engineer / Chemical Operator is a skill-based position in our food chemical processing plant.

In this position, the Stationary Engineer / Chemical Operator will operate in a safe and efficient manner, carrying out basic duties, some of the basic job duties are listed below:
• Start-up, operate, and shutdown boilers
• Provide analytical testing
• Maintain water softener system
• Maintain air compressors
• Monitor wastewater system
• Fill plant overtime
• Monitor and control material transfer, mixing, drying, sizing, and packaging processes
• Troubleshoot process or equipment issues
• Clean-up and housekeeping
What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?
• Applicants must have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED
• Active Stationary Engineer’s License Class 1 with the City of St. Louis and maintain annual recertification is required
• Have the physical ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. further than 10 feet on a frequent basis
• Must be able to work in confined areas while wearing protective clothing & equipment
• Must be able to work in a team environment with minimal supervision, rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Good reading and comprehensive skills
• Must be capable of operating a fork truck

• Experience in an industrial manufacturing facility, is preferred

Starting Pay Rate: $26.96 during training period, then $35.59 an hour after training has been completed.
