Job Description

As the Sourcing Manager, Logistics, you will lead regional tender processes on transportation, warehousing, packaging and value-added logistic services. You will be working in a team that consists of Global Sourcing Managers, Regional Sourcing Managers, Logistic Buyers, Operational Buyers and reporting to the Head of Global Procurement – Logistics & Packaging. 

 

Where is this position located?
This position will report into our North American Corporate office based in Creve Coeur, MO working a hybrid schedule consisting of 3 days in office and 2 days from home. 


I’m interested! What will I get to do in this position? 

  • Actively participate in the strategic sourcing activities for Logistics transportation, Warehousing, Tolling and Packaging with the goal of achieving cost reductions, while maintaining or improving service quality or vendor service levels
  • Identify, evaluate & select suppliers, negotiate and close framework-agreements for US region;
  • Commercial vendor identification, selection, approval, and management responsibilities; Monitor performance of selected vendors and their compliance with their commitments
  • Perform best-in-class negotiation processes via analysis of supply & demand trends with internal and external partners including negotiating and closing framework agreements
  • Contract management with internal and external partners
  • Maintain and develop in-depth knowledge of suppliers, markets & trends of the packaging sub-category
  • Maintain and develop in-depth knowledge of suppliers, markets & trends;
  • Support global initiatives regarding strategic sourcing activities
  • Establish and manage global/regional relationships with suppliers
  • Identify, address & coordinate resolutions for operational issues with suppliers
  • Provide guidance and guidelines to the regional/local procurement personnel of the warehouse & packaging sub-categories
  • Drive product/service demand optimization throughout ICL via collaboration with the relevant ICL units
  • Excellent command of English is required, additional language is a preferred 

 

What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role? 

  • Bachelor degree with 3+ years of relevant work experience in logistics procurement or international supply chain of chemicals industry
  • Familiarity with specificities of Packaging, transportation and Warehousing Procurement
  • Demonstrated track record of success in managing complex, cross-functional activities
  • Strong negotiation and leadership skills; excellent interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication
  • Supplier relationship and project management skills
  • Strong business orientation and understanding of business processes
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Good analytical skills; strong attention to detail
  • Ability to influence throughout all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated presentation skills
  • SAP or similar ERP experience preferred
  • Ability to travel domestically approximately 15%; opportunity for some international travel
     

Compensation at ICL:

If you are hired at ICL, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. We also offer a generous benefits package (more information on benefits listed below).


Salary Range: $84,000 - $115,000 


Annual Bonus Target: 7%, subject to plan provisions.
