Using your experience as a Basis Administrator you will lead the Basis activities for ICL America’s (U.S. & Brazil) SAP Team in support and management of ECC, GRC, SCM, Content Server, and Gateway systems.  You will have the opportunity to work closely with Global Basis teams in Israel and Europe as secondary support to various SAP landscapes in the regions. In this role, you will be joining a supportive, strong team of 14 members that are quick to make decisions.  You will also have the opportunity participate in ICL’s charitable and volunteer activities to support our community ranging from volunteering at a local food bank to tree planting. 


I’m interested! What will I get to do in this position?


  • Maintain multiple landscape environments through transport management and system refreshes.
  • Perform SAP system upgrades, installations, maintenance and assist with research on impact of new releases of SAP and related software on current system landscapes, and post-upgrade repository object adjustments with SPAU and Modification Assistant. 
  • Coordinate and manage the daily operation with the SAP hosting service by monitoring work order progress, change request and incidents. 
  • Maintain and support connections using RFCs, sFTP, HTTPS, and other methods that adhere to corporate standards directed by CISO department.
  • Support job scheduling and batch job problem resolution.
  • Familiarity with SAP backup and restore tools. 
  • Manage and configure SAP printers; troubleshoot and resolve printing issues.
  • Troubleshoot logon issues and SAP GUI issues. Support SAP GUI maintenance and upgrades.
  • Use SAP Support Portal to maintain remote connections and troubleshoot system problems by researching SAP notes and SAP support packages and patches.
  • Work with DR (Disaster Recovery) teams to provide input to the DR processes.
  • Assist with proactive development and maintenance of procedural documents used by the Basis team.
  • Research, recommend, and help implement new technologies as needed.

What skills and experience do I need to be successful in the role?


  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years in-depth experience in technical support of SAP Microsoft OS and MS SQL database, technical infrastructure and operations support environments.
  • Proven knowledge of SAP system landscapes including experience with Solution Manager (GoLive, EarlyWatch) processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage many competing demands requiring close coordination with associates and the ability to effectively set and deliver results.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with excellent communication skills.
  • People person; team player; innovative and a self-starter with ability to adhere to standards and standard procedures.
  • Ability to work flexible hours/schedule – some evening and/or weekend work will be required.
  • Ability to travel occasionally. 


What will set you apart:


  • Audit, Setup and utilize the Technical Monitoring system to cover Cloud Solutions, Technical systems, including their instances, databases and hosts preferred.
  • Security Administration backup including user account management and profile management with the profile generator is a plus.Support of bolt-on applications, including ITS Mobile, Taxware, RightFax, AEB Trade Compliance, Invoiceware, Nota Fiscal, and Serrala FS2 with SmartEye, global BI, Treasury, e-mail is preferred.
