Job Description
As the Regional Buyer, you will be responsible for the purchasing process of requested items. This includes ensuring the timely and full supply of items and service as well as being the first point of contact for our Carondelet plant. In this role, you will get to work closely with the site requester to place purchase order and monitor to ensure timely delivery to plant as scheduled.

• Complete Purchase Orders accurately and completely with all supporting documentation in compliance with procurement protocols.
• Address and solve technical issues from the requisition to purchase order process for goods and services.
• Maintain Procurement documents, files, and records
• Work with Procurement Manager and Sourcing Manager in reviewing, tabulating, and assessing bids and preparing proposals to vendors.
• Review, prepare, verify and/or approve financial and business transaction within established dollar limits and guidelines.
• Administer the purchasing process for assigned products and services including handling of supply issues, problem solving and communicating status to requesters.
• Responsible for all transactional items related to the purchasing process
• Issue purchase orders from approved purchase requisitions, select sources of supply as required, negotiate prices and terms and conditions
• Interact closely and maintain up-to-date contact information with supplier customer service to coordinate supply
• Follow up on orders to ensure that items are shipped and delivered complete and on time
• Control purchasing documentation and supplier customer service communication
• Assist with supplier complaint management.
• Work close with the Master Data Team to improve vendor master data.
• Create and propose ideas to improve the purchasing process in the assigned items and through ICL
• Actively participate in sourcing activities for the relevant spend, including support of Sourcing Managers with project identification, project planning and execution, with the goal of achieving cost reductions, while maintaining or improving quality or vendor service levels
What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?
• 3+ years of professional experience required
• Strong attention to detail as well as the ability to maintain accuracy in a dynamic environment
• Microsoft Excel skills including but not limited to managing data in large spreadsheets
• Demonstrated negotiation and conflict resolution skills
• Strong business orientation and understanding of business processes
• Act with determination and decisiveness
• Ability to communicate with multiple levels of an organization
• Ability to think and act strategically
• Strong presentation skills
• Hybrid schedule – 3 office/plant and 2 remote

Salary Range: $59K - $109K/year
Annual Bonus Target: 5%, subject to plan provisions.
