Job Description

As the Regional Buyer - Raw Materials, you will manage the purchasing process for assigned items across regional sites, ensuring timely and complete supply of materials and services. You’ll act as the connector between supplier customer service teams and site needs, working closely with site requesters and Global and Regional Sourcing Managers to align supply with business requirements. This role also serves as a driver for process improvements while remaining agile to meet urgent plant needs.

I’m interested! What will I get to do in this position? 

  • Manage the purchasing process for assigned raw materials in SAP, including creating accurate purchase orders and ensuring correct cost, quantity, and delivery information.
  • Act as the main link between suppliers, site requesters, and Sourcing Managers to ensure timely delivery and resolve supply issues.
  • Monitor and follow up on orders to confirm on-time and complete deliveries, communicating updates to sites and procurement partners.
  • Identify and resolve issues across the requisition, purchase order, receiving, and payment processes.
  • Collaborate with Accounts Payable to address any discrepancies that delay supplier payments.
  • Maintain up-to-date procurement files, supplier contact information, and accurate cost data to support financial reporting.
  • Support sourcing activities, including bid reviews, proposal preparation, and cost-reduction projects.
  • Partner with the Master Data Team to improve vendor information and procurement records.
  • Track and support GPO KPIs while ensuring compliance with company procurement policies.
  • Proactively recommend and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and service quality. 

 

What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role? 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; or a minimum of 3 years of relevant procurement experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proven negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Solid understanding of business processes and operations
  • Effective communication skills across all levels of the organization
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to act decisively and drive results
  • Strong customer focus and commitment to delivering value

Compensation at ICL

If you are hired at ICL, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. We also offer a generous benefits package (more information on benefits listed below).


Salary Range: $64,000 - $88,000


Annual Bonus Target: 5%
