Maintenance Reliability Engineer

As the Maintenance Reliability Engineer, you will serve as the primary technical resource for the Plant Maintenance department and will work closely with Maintenance leadership as well as hourly Maintenance technicians. The successful candidate needs to have a broad understanding of mechanical equipment and complex mechanical systems that will allow the candidate to implement programs to increase the reliability of plant manufacturing systems.

- Investigate equipment and component failures, develop and implement solutions to prevent future failures and improve overall reliability
- Perform root cause failure analysis on plant mechanical equipment
- Perform mechanical engineering calculations to support design changes that improve equipment performance and reliability
- Develop and implement predictive / preventive programs and methodologies for early identification of potential reliability problems
- Develop / maintain equipment documentation and files to support ongoing maintenance functions
- Work closely with maintenance supervision / technicians to develop / implement day to day maintenance procedures and strategies that improve long term reliability of manufacturing systems
- Design, specify and purchase equipment / components needed for plant continuing operations
- Directly oversee plant Predictive Maintenance technicians
- Oversee Predictive / Preventive maintenance programs such as vibration analysis, thermal imaging analysis and oil analysis
- Develop / implement systems to improve overall maintenance efficiency and productivity
- Develop / design / implement / manage capital projects related to maintenance improvement and reliability
- Works directly with outside vendors / consultants to specify appropriate equipment for use in the plant
- Directly manages contractor firms performing work on site in support of maintenance activities
What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?
- Strong analytical / problem solving skills
- Work experience or coursework that demonstrates strong background in mechanical design principles
- Proficient in AutoCAD or Microstation
- In depth knowledge of ASME codes a plus
- Highly organized, methodical, with meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated high level of personal motivation, ability to work in self-directed manner with minimal supervision
- Excellent computer skills
- Knowledge of or experience with SAP a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or closely related field; or graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or closely related field
Compensation at ICL: If you are hired at ICL, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. We also offer a generous benefits package (more information on benefits listed below).
Salary Range: $76,000 - $105,000
Annual Bonus Target: 5%, subject to plan provisions.
