ICL is excited to be staffing a newly constructed department. This is an exciting opportunity to join the department at the very beginning! 


Workers will receive verbal and written work instructions daily to manufacture food grade product. All materials must be weighed accurately on scales & all process data must be recorded. Materials must be manually loaded and discharged from the process equipment. Good housekeeping, intelligent use of process equipment & adherence to strict GMP’s, SOPs and Safety Procedures are essential for success.

 

I’m interested! What will I get to do in this position?

 

  • Cleaning and sanitizing the machinery for Food Grade manufacturing
  • Calculate, weigh & charge raw materials
  • Running machinery such as feeders, pumps, etc.
  • Monitoring machinery
  • Quality Assurance of the machinery/product
  • Packaging products with machinery
  • Weigh & label finished product
  • Clean process equipment & work area as per standardized procedures
  • Complete all production documentation
  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems and computer applications
  • Follow all operating procedures (written & verbal)
  • Must be able to work in various environments while wearing protective clothing & equipment
  • Load and unload trucks using a forklift

 

Starting Rate: $21.75/hour

 

What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?

 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. further than 10 feet on a frequent basis
  • Standing and moving around for the entire 12-hour shift
  • Able to follow strict guidelines for Food Safety
  • Must be able to work in a team environment with minimal supervision, rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Possible 8-hour or 12-hour rotating shifts
