As a Regulatory Affairs Specialist for our North America region Regulatory Affairs Team you will provide product regulatory support for our businesses in North America and limited export regions functioning as part of the global HERA (Health, Environmental, Regulatory Affairs) shared service.  The primary support functions involve managing compliance with applicable chemical and product regulations while providing direct regulatory support for our fertilizer businesses.  Our team actively participates in all stages of our products from ideation through customer applications support.

I’m interested! What will I get to do in this position? 

  • Regional Regulatory Affairs contact / facilitator for the ICL fertilizer businesses in North America.
  • Interfaces with regional Business Management, Marketing, Sales, R&D and other functions to facilitate effective, efficient, and timely Regulatory Affairs advice, guidance, support, and education.
  • Interfaces with the global HERA Product Regulatory Managers for fertilizer products.
  • Responsible for all aspects of initating and maintaining fertilizer registrations, and tonnage / millage reporting.
  • Actively participates and represents ICL in industry and trade organizations.
  • Performs regulatory compliance assessments for raw materials, finished products and imports.
  • Classifies products for HAZMAT/Dangerous Goods and maintains substance and material classification data in SAP.
  • Reviews and approves finished regulatory and technical documents, safety data sheets and labeling.
  • Actively participates as an advisor in the new / revised product and import / export processes.
  • Maintains product regulatory data in SAP substance database.
  • Interfaces with colleagues in other regions and participates in global regulatory teams.
     

What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role? 

  • Three or more years of direct regulatory compliance experience involving federal, state and regional regulations. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Chemistry, Biology, Crop Science, Environmental Management or a related field.
  • First-hand experience with interpreting and adhering to the requirements of chemical, fertilizer and environmental regulations.
  • Experience performing product regulatory evaluations, regulatory reporting, and product registrations.
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Suite applications with strong proficiency in Word and Excel.
  • The ability to work both as a team contributor and team leader. 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with a proven ability to interface across multiple levels of an organization. 

What will set me apart?

  • Advanced degree in the subjects indicated above, or related areas of study. 
  • Direct experience with implementing and managing regulatory compliance programs.
  • Direct, hands-on experience with fertilizing products state registrations, millage/tonnage reporting, and fertilizer labeling.
  • SAP Substance data management experience.
  • Experience with regulatory process design and improvement.
  • Experience with the production and use of fertilizers, adjuvants and soil amendments.

Compensation at ICL: If you are hired at ICL, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. We also offer a generous benefits package (more information on benefits listed below).


Salary Range: $72,000 - $85,000


Annual Bonus Target: 5%, subject to plan provisions.
