As the Americas Regulatory Affairs Specialist, you will provide product regulatory support for our businesses in the Americas region as part of the global HERA (Health, Environmental, Regulatory Affairs) team.  The primary support functions involve managing the FIFRA, PMRA, COFEPRIS, fifty state pesticide regulation compliance, and providing direct regulatory support for biocides under our Industrial Products Americas business unit.

I’m interested! What will I get to do in this position? 

  • Regional Regulatory Affairs contact / facilitator for the Industrial Products business in North America.
  • Regulatory process owner for FIFRA including reporting, federal registrations, labeling, and order, shipment, and delivery legal controls.
  • Regulatory process owner for Canadian PMRA and Mexican COFEPRIS and SENASICA regulations.
  • Managing individual state pesticidal/biocidal product registration, labeling, reporting and maintenance for all 50 U.S.A. states.
  • Interfaces with regional Business Management, Marketing, Sales, R&D and other functions to facilitate effective, efficient, and timely Regulatory Affairs advice, guidance, support, and education.
  • Interfaces with the global HERA Product Regulatory Manager for Biocides.
  • Actively participates and represents ICL in industry and trade organizations.
  • Performs regulatory compliance assessments for raw materials, finished products and imports.
  • Classifies products for HAZMAT/Dangerous Goods and maintains DG master data in SAP.
  • Reviews and approves finished regulatory and technical documents, safety data sheets and labeling.
  • Actively participates as an advisor in the new / revised product and import processes.
  • Maintains product regulatory data in SAP ERP systems.
  • Interfaces with colleagues in other regions and participates in global regulatory teams.


What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role? 

  • One or more years of direct experience providing regulatory support for a manufacturer of organic or inorganic chemical products.
  • B.A./B.S. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering. Biology, Toxicology or a related field.
  • Extensive first-hand experience with US EPA FIFRA regulations as well as compliance programs including product evaluations, reporting, and management programs.
  • Working knowledge of Canadian PMRA, and Mexico COFEPRIS regulations.
  • SAP Experience.
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Suite applications with strong proficiency in Word and Excel.
  • Exemplifies leadership; the ability to work as part of a team and effectively lead others. 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with a proven ability to interface across multiple levels of an organization. 

 

What will set me apart?

  • M.S./PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related degree.
  • >3 Years of experience with the production and use of biocides.
  • First-hand, practical experience with Canadian PMRA regulations and/or Mexican COFEPRIS regulations.
  • Spanish and/or Portuguese reading and speaking proficiency.

Compensation at ICL: If you are hired at ICL, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. We also offer a generous benefits package (more information on benefits listed below).

 


Salary Range: $72,000 - $85,000 

 


Annual Bonus Target: 5%, subject to plan provisions.
