Accounting Coordinator

As the Accounting Coordinator, you will perform duties for sales & use tax, as well as property taxes. Additionally, provide Treasury backup when other team members in Finance are out.

I’m interested! What will I get to do in this position? 
•    Verify accuracy of sales & use tax returns prepared by Avalara including accruing tax on necessary purchases made via company card and reconciling all related account balances. Maintain all sales tax exemption certificates and ensure they are being requested during customer setup.
•    Prepare all real estate and personal property tax returns and manage related assessments and invoices. 
•    As Treasury backup, forecasting cash, balancing cash daily, and updating excel spreadsheets.  Prepare and execute payment runs for checks and EFTS, send wire transfers, and clear vendors.
•    Assist with various other tax/treasury/finance tasks as necessary.

What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role? 
•    High School Diploma or equivalent
•    Automated ERP system knowledge and experience
•    Computer literate
•    Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to successfully resolve issues with employees throughout the organization as well as taxing jurisdictions
•    Adaptable and quick learner

What will set me apart?
•    Associate degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
•    At least one year of experience in sales/use/property tax and/or general accounting
•    Avalara knowledge
•    SAP knowledge

Salary Range: $40,000 to $60,000 

Annual Bonus Target: 3%, subject to plan provisions
