As the Senior Manager of Marketing and Communications, you will lead all facets of ICL’s brand and product marketing within the agriculture space.  You will develop, plan, budget, implement, and measure marketing strategies for our businesses in North America.  The responsibilities will include corporate channels, digital marketing, public relations, and brand strategy

  • Drive best-in-class marketing communication and provide strategic input and oversight of the development and implementation of marketing communication campaigns, including but not limited to positioning and messaging, as well as execution of the value proposition. Such campaigns should employ all appropriate channels, including traditional printed sales collateral, PR, advertising, e-Marketing, and trade shows.
  • Function as a lead marketing communications expert to facilitate the development of comprehensive, integrated marketing communications plans for entire product portfolio or individual campaigns or projects
  • Design and develop our corporate brand and image, and the approach to reach the public with our brand through the management of all communications channels
  • Develop effective messaging and communications strategies for both external and internal audiences
  • Manage annual budget and lead annual marketing communications budget planning.
  • Partner with the Director of IAS, NA Sales Leader, and other marketing leaders to ensure message alignment and execution of key strategic brand initiatives.
  • Work with Global and geography-based marketing and sales to develop strategic communication processes that capture intended branding, positioning, and key selling messages while also serving the needs of local markets, supporting Product Marketing plans.
  • Manage digital marketing strategy, oversee the analysis of responses to channel activities and adjusting approaches to maximize results
  • Maintain overall execution roadmap for team and ensures all team activities are done under a specific plan, these plans fit into the overall strategic framework, work is delivered on a timely basis, and results are quantified and measured
  • Assure marketing communications initiatives are cost-effective and produce measurable results.
  • Lead and develop the department’s Marketing Communications professionals, including contract employees
  • Manage agency and vendor relationships to ensure any outsourced work is consistent, high quality, cost-effective, and reflects corporate branding specifications.
  • Manage convention and conference execution and research new event options using data from past shows and other relevant information to assess the relevance of events and advertising for alignment to business objectives.
  • Manage overall public and press interaction, content strategy, execution, and analytics
  • Create and lead General Manager presentations (QBR, external audiences, All Employee Meetings, etc.)
     

What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role? 

  • BS/BA degree in Agriculture, Business, Marketing, or related field
  • Successful track record in senior marketing roles 
  • Familiarity with essential digital marketing tools and technologies
  • Minimum of 7 years’ marketing or communications experience in corporate or agency marketing communications
  • Global marketing communications experience
  • An experienced communications professional and critical thinker with demonstrated extensive experience in creating and executing marketing programs
  • Strong business analytics, relationship management, strategy development, project management, problem solving and change management skills
  • Knowledge in managing the world of professional and digital media (websites, social networks and forums, professional press, magazines, online forums, etc. 
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with B2B marketing 
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
  • Ability to plan, manage, and execute projects within budget and on schedule 
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time
