Job Description
As the Sales Account Manager, you will maintain key customer relationships and identify new business opportunities within the Eastern North American region. You’ll manage sales and service through customer visits, collaborate with various teams, maintain a customer database, prepare sales forecasts, and utilize CRM tools for managing interactions. Additionally, you'll gather market intelligence, represent the company at trade shows and develop opportunities to strengthen and expand the business within our Specialty Products Division.
Candidates with prior experience in selling phosphates and specialty chemicals are required.
Location:
This position will work remotely from their home office when not traveling within the region. The ideal candidate will be located in or near the Midwest or Great Lakes Region.

- Maintain current key contacts for designated customers in the assigned region/market segment
- Identify and obtain new business opportunities within the assigned territory/market segment
- Manage sales and service through extensive customer visits and trials
- Work in a team atmosphere interacting with customer service, research & development, technology and other sales personnel
- Maintain customer database and call reports
- Prepare sales forecasts for the assigned territory/market segment
- Use of CRM to manage customer interactions
- Garner market intelligence (i.e. competitive information and industry trends)
- Attend regional and national trade shows
What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in chemical sales or a related industry
- Valid driver’s license with the ability and willingness to travel 25%-50% of the time within the assigned territory
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with a proven ability to interface across multiple levels of an organization
- Experience working alongside customer’s technical and research & development staff
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience working with SalesForce or a similar CRM

Compensation at ICL:
If you are hired at ICL, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. We also offer a generous benefits package (more information on benefits listed below).
Salary Range: $101,000 - $138,000
Annual Bonus Target: 15%, subject to plan provisions.
