Sales & Marketing Development Manager Europe SM (Specialty Minerals)

Does identifying new business opportunities sound as a music to your ears? Then you are willing to apply for our European Sales & Marketing Development Manager role. 

You will be accountable for establishing and implementing the overall regional marketing and sales plan for our Specialty Minerals division for the geographical scope of Europe focused on Germany and Eastern Europe. 


In this role you will develop regional markets, sales and research strategies and implement these programs with the worldwide business plan for Specialty Minerals. As our Sales and Marketing Development Manager you are accountable for all aspects of sales: managing assigned (key) accounts, maintenance and growth of existing business and initiation of new business.
You will be part of a dynamic team of about 5 professionals across Europe with a lot of freedom to operate.


Your main responsibilities are: 


  • Manage (maintain, build, and extend) technical and business contacts with (key) accounts. 
  • Maximize pricing and ensure optimization of overall profitability, set financial and business targets in consultation with Business Manager/Director.
  • Responsible for direct customer technical service, technical support, education, and training of distributors.
  • Identify new business opportunities and be responsible for technical marketing and introduction of new products. 
  • Preparation of market analysis reports, surveys, budgets, and sales forecasts; tracking competitive actions in the market.

About you 

Looking to new markets/products requires deep understanding of products, potential end market technologies to promote, encourage and guide potential customers into a change process. To be successful you need solid Chemical Knowledge, hence a degree in chemical, technical, process or similar studies is a must. You have at least 5-10 years industrial experience in a technical marketing/sales role within the chemical, Feed/Food/Pharma and/or mineral industry. 


You are able to operate very independent and set your own priorities. You have great communication skills and know how to motivate people. Ability to travel is up to 30-40 %.
Languages: Fluent in English and preferably German. Any other European languages are of an advantage.  


Location: ICL-IP EU, based from home office.

ICL Specialty Minerals (ICL-SM) is part of our ICL-IP (ICL- Industrial Products) division and produces a wide range of high standard products: MgO, MgCO3, Mg(OH)₂, MgCl₂, CaCO3 powder and direct compressible (DC), refined and pure KCl. All these products meet the most stringent Pharmacopoeia requirements and are produced in certified GMP facilities (both in Israel and in France (Scora)). For each compound, several grades are available, which are differentiated mainly by their physical properties, chemical reactivity and particle size.
