The startup is a spin from an ICL born R&D project and is a part of the ICL Planet venture creation and incubation activity.
Our mission is to reduce textile waste and promote sustainability through cutting-edge recycling technologies and eco-friendly practices.
As we continue to scale and expand, we are looking for a motivated and experienced R&D Manager to contribute to our technology strategy, drive the development of innovative solutions, tackle operational challenges, and support the scaling of our technology.


What will your responsibilities be?

As the R&D Manager, you will play a critical role in the hands-on development of innovative solutions in the textile recycling industry.
Your focus will be on refining processes, tackling challenges, and driving the advancement of our technology.
This position is ideal for a creative and detail-oriented professional with expertise in materials, polymers, chemical processing, fibers, or related fields, who thrives in a hands-on, mission-driven environment.

Hands-On R&D and Process Optimization
- Conduct laboratory experiments to refine and optimize recycling processes
- Identify and solve technical challenges within the R&D process using innovative, out-of-the-box thinking
- Develop and validate new methodologies to improve efficiency, scalability, and sustainability

Process Development
- Design and execute robust technical protocols, including testing, validation, and quality assurance. Document processes and results to support scalability and future industrial implementation

Equipment and Resource Management
- Identify and manage lab equipment, tools, and resources needed to support R&D activities. Maintain a safe and efficient working environment in compliance with relevant safety standards

Sustainability & Compliance
- Ensure all R&D activities comply with relevant regulations and contribute to the development of sustainable, eco-friendly solutions


What are we looking for?

- Ph.D. or M.Sc. in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering or related field
- At least 3 years of wet chemistry experience in industrial R&D, preferably within inorganic chemistry, chemical processing, , polymers& fibers, or sustainable materials
- Creative and passionate out-of-box thinker with strong problem-solving skills and “can do” attitude
- Extensive knowledge of analytical characterization techniques
- Proven track record of leading R&D teams
- Strong understanding of research methodologies, testing protocols, and regulatory requirements
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Experience with eco-friendly and sustainable practices in the chemical and recycling industry
- Knowledge of advanced recycling technologies and materials science
