The Product Lead for FertilizerpluS (Polysulphate Granular, Polysulphate Premium, and PKpluS) and specialty granular fertilizers serves as the product management, market development, and business growth leader for ICL Growing Solutions’ North American specialty agriculture portfolio. This role blends market intelligence, commercial strategy, innovation leadership, and hands-on customer engagement to drive profitable growth across key product lines. You will serve as the technical, commercial, and market expert, enabling commercial growth by transforming business strategy, competitive intelligence, and customer needs into actionable product strategy and revenue-driving initiatives. This includes owning the P&L for FertilizerpluS, leading demand creation activities, and collaborating cross-functionally with sales, marketing, R&D, supply chain, Boulby mine leadership, and internal production partners. The Product Lead will champion new business development activities, guide product lifecycle management, drive innovation, and manage product availability to ensure profitable and sustainable long-term growth.

Product Management & Business Leadership

  • Own the P&L for FertilizerpluS, ensuring profitability, pricing discipline, and strategic portfolio growth
  • Lead product lifecycle strategy and market positioning for Polysulphate, PKpluS, and additional products as the portfolio grows
  • Develop and implement pricing strategies, forecasting, and competitive benchmarking to ensure market-competitive and margin-optimized offerings
  • Provide market intelligence related to pricing, supply alternatives, and the competitive landscape
  • Negotiate and collaborate with internal mining and granulation assets for purchase order pricing, quality expectations, and processes for feedback and credit notes for quality issues within North America

 

Demand Creation, Marketing & Promotion

  • Drive demand creation for FertilizerpluS and related product lines, including marketing campaigns, commercial programs, promotions, and customer-facing initiatives
  • Develop, implement, and support marketing, pricing, commercial programs, and custom initiatives that drive increased sales revenue
  • Serve as the public-facing product ambassador, collaborating with marketing and acting as the face of FertilizerpluS for webinars, podcasts, industry content, and digital engagement
  • Translate trial results, technical findings, and product insights into commercially compelling selling tools including presentations, messaging, and articles

 

Sales Enablement & Customer Engagement

  • Actively travel with sales reps to support customer meetings, joint calls, and strategic account development
  • Provide technical, agronomic, and product expertise to retailers, distributors, and internal staff
  • Lead innovative, out-of-the-box sales initiatives that accelerate portfolio penetration and market expansion within North America
  • Lead follow-up, tracking, and management of the Polysulphate Partner Program and associated rebates
  • Identify geographic, crop, and market segment-specific expansion opportunities and lead efforts that enable smooth transition into commercial activity

 

Innovation, R&D Collaboration & Product Development

  • Guide and contribute to the creation of new products, formulations, and technologies that meet emerging market needs
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, R&D, and technical teams to identify, evaluate, and prioritize new technologies and growth opportunities in specialty granular fertilizers

Supply Chain, Production & Forecasting

  • Actively engage with the commercial team and supply chain on forward planning, inventory positioning, and quality management for FertilizerpluS and related products
  • Support optimization of cost structure and margin capture by aligning internal manufacturing capabilities, warehousing strategies, and logistics planning

 

What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role? 

  • Bachelor’s degree in agricultural business, marketing or related fields 
  • At least five years of experience working in crop input sales, marketing, or product management
  • Broad understanding of fertilizer technology, markets and applications including enhanced efficiency, commodity, or specialty granular fertilizer products  
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and success in selling specialty crop nutrition products including an understanding of sales strategies, competitive market dynamics, and pricing strategies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Must have excellent decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute in a virtual team setting while being an effective self-starter able to manage daily activities to achieve long term goals.
  • Must be able to manage personal goals and corporate objectives while keeping a customer centric focus.
  • Must be able to travel up to 25% across North America (US, Canada, and Mexico)


What will set me apart?

  • Background in fertilizer industry and fundamental fertilizer types, handling, and application systems. 
  • Demonstrated product management experience in the fertilizer industry

Compensation at ICL: If you are hired at ICL, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. We also offer a generous benefits package (more information on benefits listed below).


Salary Range: $112,000 - $154,000


Annual Bonus Target: 20%, subject to plan provisions.
