As the Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for loading and unloading inbound and outbound trucks.

 

ICL Specialty Fertilizers has a manufacturing plant in the Greater Charleston, South Carolina area. Our plant is in North Charleston.  This position will report to the North Charleston facility.  The facilities coat and manufacture controlled-release fertilizer brands Osmocote®, Agroblen®, and Agrocote®.  ICL’s fertilizers are distributed globally to commercial clientele within the specialty agriculture and horticulture sectors.

I’m interested! What will I get to do in this position?

  • Reviewing and analyzing pre shippers in QAD to validate product availability 
  • Creating and maintaining shipper documents and ensuring accuracy throughout the process 
  • Scheduling outbound shipments in the TMS system and preparing complete pickup paperwork 
  • Sharing shipment documentation with the warehouse team and supporting daily shipment coordination 
  • Verifying that the correct materials were shipped by reviewing the shipment list versus BOL 
  • Closing shipper documents in QAD after confirming shipment completion 
  • Supporting inventory control activities, including cycle counts and inventory validations 
  • Assisting with occasional loading/unloading of inbound and outbound trucks 
  • Maintaining an organized and clean work environment 
  • Other duties as assigned

 

What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role? 

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Ability to obtain a forklift operation license/certification
  • Able to lift 50 pounds regularly and move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces 
  • Can safely ascend/descend properly on stairs and/or ladders while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) 
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment along with managing multiple priorities, projects, and tasks simultaneously
  • Possess basic computer skills including an entry-level proficiency within Microsoft Suite tools (Office, Outlook, Excel)
  • Ability to learn and understand site Distribution Management Plans, regulatory policies, and ISO Certification 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Ability to work evenings, holidays or weekends as needed 
  • Two (2) or more years of shipping and receiving experience

 

What will set me apart?

  • Three (3) or more years of industrial production and/or manufacturing experience
  • Experience loading and unloading containers and dry-vans
  • QAD experience

 

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):

Compensation at ICL: If you are hired at ICL, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. We also offer a generous benefits package (more information on benefits listed below).


Salary Range: $40,000 - $51,000 


Annual Bonus Target: 3%, subject to plan provisions.
