Maintenance Engineer

As the Maintenance Engineer, you will you will lead the plant’s maintenance engineering to improve safety, reliability, and cost. You’ll analyze, prioritize, design, and deliver maintenance and capital projects using the right blend of in-house and contract resources; manage maintenance activities and personnel; and provide process expertise—while driving controls/PLC enhancements and data-driven process optimization. In addition to these responsibilities, you will:

- Execute a fact-based project prioritization process (risk, ROI, downtime impact) balancing CAPEX and OPEX.
 - Manage capital project and execution to ensure on time delivery and project quality.
 - Design capital projects (macro and plant specific detail) to meet performance targets.
 - Manage on-site maintenance, professional services, contractor, and construction resources.
 - Create or update all process; project; equipment; drawings; and spare parts, applicable to assigned projects.
 - Connect CMMS, historian, and production data; build simple dashboards for downtime, MTBF/MTTR, and cost; turn insights into actions.
 - Provide technical support to the production process 24/7.
 - Promote and enforce EHSS programs (permits to work, LOTO, MOC; PSM where applicable) and lead reliability initiatives to reduce unplanned downtime.
 - Lead initiatives to minimize production downtime.
 
What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role? 
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial) or related field.
 - Maintenance/reliability experience in manufacturing; co-op/intern experience a plus.
 - Controls/PLC proficiency: hands-on troubleshooting/programming with Allen-Bradley or Siemens HMIs; VFDs/servos; sensors/instrumentation; industrial networks .
 - Able to read electrical schematics and P&IDs; familiarity with safety circuits; change control/MOC and code version control/backups.
 - Data & analytics: strong Excel (Pivot/Power Query) and Power BI/Tableau; comfort with SQL (and/or basic Python) to analyze downtime, failure, and cost data; experience integrating CMMS with historian preferred.
 - Project management experience (scope, schedule, cost, commissioning); contractor oversight.
 - CMMS experience preferred.
 - Experience supervising or coordinating maintenance employees/contractors preferred.
 - Ability to regularly move/lift up to 50 lbs, wear appropriate PPE, climb stairs/ladders, and work in confined areas as needed.
 - Strong EHS mindset; solid understanding of LOTO and safe-work permits.

Compensation at ICL: If you are hired at ICL, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. We also offer a generous benefits package (more information on benefits listed below).
Salary Range: $87,000 - $119,000 
Annual Bonus Target: 7%, subject to plan provisions.
