The Opportunity
To assist in the handling, storage and distribution of company products. Support the Tees dock Operations Supervisor in all aspects of Tees dock Terminal activities and functions to ensure safe and effective operations. Follow relevant company rules and procedures to ensure all aspects of Tees dock Terminal day-to-day activities are compliant. 

What You’ll Be Doing
•    Complying with all risk assessments and method statements 
•    Ensure work is conducted in a manner conducive to safe working practice 
•    Ensuring that you and others work to meet internal procedures and standards 
•    Planning your own work to ensure it is carried out in a safe and effective manner 
Decision Making and Problem Solving 
•    Making informed decisions associated with hazard identification and risk management to ensure Tees dock Terminal safety 
•    Prioritising tasks after discussion with team members and others to ensure operational and maintenance objectives are achieved 
•    Using judgement and experience to manage incidents and problems associated with Tees dock Terminal operations 
Operational Parameters 
•    Day-to-day activities at Tees dock Terminal to ensure safe and effective operation 
•    Ensuring that only trained and competent personnel operate Tees dock Terminal machinery 
•    Contribute information to written reports of activities undertaken on a daily/ weekly basis

Communication 

•    Reporting to Tees dock Operations Supervisor on all aspects of Tees dock Terminal operational activities 
•    Communicating with other ICL UK departments to enhance effective working practices 
•    Liaising with other interested parties and stakeholders such as Shipping Agents, Surveyors, Suppliers and PD Ports to further good working relationships 

What We’re Looking For
•    A working knowledge of the site and infrastructure at Teesdock Terminal
•    A good understanding of the planned maintenance scheme
•    A good understanding of the operational capabilities of Teesdock Terminal and must be able to translate that understanding into safe operational activities
•    Good knowledge of all operational/site equipment
