Role Summary
This position offers the opportunity to lead a mechanical team responsible for the performance, reliability, and maintenance of critical assets within our supply chain operation. What you will be doing
As Mechanical Operations Engineer, you will:
• Lead and manage a mechanical team, providing coaching, guidance, and technical support.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure engineering and safety standards are maintained.
• Drive asset reliability and performance through effective maintenance strategies.
• Set high standards of professional and technical excellence within the team.
• Identify and implement improvements to enhance operational efficiency and equipment reliability.
• Evaluate and introduce new technologies and engineering best practices where appropriate.
• Lead projects focused on improving operations and reducing mechanical risks.
• Support capital project applications and ensure projects are delivered safely, compliantly, on time, and within budget.
What we are looking for
Essential
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Significant experience within a mechanical engineering environment.
• Strong knowledge of material handling and conveyor systems.
• Experience of maintenance and reliability engineering techniques.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, engage, and develop teams.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Desirable
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards professional registration.
