As the Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for overall daily manufacturing supervision with focus on safety, environmental and financial goals that meet internal and external customer needs reliably.

Ensure ESH Compliance:
- Promote safety first culture that fosters an injury free work place
- Promote procedure compliance to ensure site environmental, safety and health standards are met
- Lead ES&H incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are completed
- Engage employees in daily ES&H discussions
- Clarify housekeeping requirements
- Enforce all policies and standards and routinely audit performance
- Issue safety permits
- Successfully complete RCRA introductory/orientation training
- Successfully complete RCRA annual refresher training
- Monitor and support RCRA activities in Business Unit
- Perform job safely, in an environmentally sound manner and in accordance with all cGMP requirements
Departmental Operations:
- Assist Phosphate Business Manager in defining, developing, communicating and implementing area-specific objectives
- Foster an open line of communication with production planning and shipping to ensure customer demands are met
- Measure and monitor performance utilizing area-specific metrics.
- Achieve budgeted rates, OST, NRFT and compliance targets
- Foster innovative thinking within the assigned area(s)
- Regularly communicate business goals, objectives and desired outcomes
- Establish, communicate and enforce acceptable standards of performance and behavior within the team
- Create and maintain an environment in which the “operating principles” guide the thinking and behavior of each team member
- Reconcile conflicts within the team
Manufacturing
- Manage maintenance activities in area and promote continuous improvement of equipment reliability
- Ensure team members have daily work assignments and schedules
- Work with area planner and operations support lead to schedule overtime to support material flow
- Promptly and effectively resolve process or mechanical variations/deviations
- Ensure communication between maintenance and production teams is timely and effective
- Interface with other Business Unit Leaders to ensure continuity and optimization of material flow
- Meet budgeted volume and quality commitments
- Support capital and expense projects
- Effectively interface with manufacturing engineers support to increase operational efficiencies
Ensure Cost Management
- Meet budget commitments regarding spending and overtime
- Participate in capital planning and execution
- Participate in expense budget planning and monitor actual spending versus budget
Quality, Food Safety & Customer Service
- Ensure that area personnel actively participate in customer relations activities
- Foster positive relationships with customers
- Foster positive relationships with suppliers
- Ensure areas are food safety compliant at all times
- Ensure compliance with all food safety system requirements
- Complete food safety action items in a timely manner
- Understand and follow all applicable Lawrence Quality System Practices
- Communicate, investigate and correct any quality exceptions and issues
- Achieve targets for generation and consumption of phosphate rework product
Department Development
- Provide performance expectations and feedback to all employees
- Proactively address substandard performance
- Ensure team is staffed with qualified members capable of performing their duties safely and efficiently
- Ensure team members are accountable for executing their respective roles and responsibilities as defined by standards of performance and performance metrics
- Actively listen to people, put them at ease and build rapport, trust and respect
- Attend all requisite training sessions and support training initiatives in Business Unit
What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?
- High School Diploma at a minimum, college degree preferred
- Chemical process knowledge and/or experience
- Strong mathematical skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Interest in and commitment to teamwork and team based systems
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Demonstrated computer literacy with business applications
- Ability to safely exit the plant in the event of an emergency
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):

Compensation at ICL: If you are hired at ICL, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. We also offer a generous benefits package (more information on benefits listed below).
Salary Range: $74,000 to $101,000
Annual Bonus Target: 7%, subject to plan provisions.
