I’m interested! What will I get to do in this position?

 

As a member of our team, you will:

  • Be responsible for conducting all raw material, in-process, finished product analysis and any special testing if required
  • Read and understand all laboratory standard procedures, as well as comply and follow all laboratory SOPs and methods in order to perform accurate precise testing
  • Support our Chemist in assessing/evaluating new equipment and/or new methods and be able to ensure environmental and quality regulatory compliance by completing training requirements, disposing of lab chemicals and materials according to regulation, and perform safety checks as required
  • Support the maintenance and calibration of laboratory instrumentation, keeping them clean and operational according to laboratory procedures
  • Be required to participate actively in ICL's safety program, always seeking areas of opportunity and promoting safety in all actions, as well as participating in monthly safety meetings and acting as incident commander on the off shift by responding to plant emergencies and acting as plant emergency brigade member once all of your training and orientation has been completed
  • Work required overtime when necessary


What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?

 

What you need:

 

  • High school degree or equivalent required
  • Ability to perform basic algebraic math skills required
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Office Products)
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Strong safety background/orientation
  • Ability to work independently as well as with other team members
  • Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays required


What will set you apart:

 

  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university and/or five years in a quality assurance analytical laboratory preferred, but not required
