Lab Technician

As the Lab Technician, you will be responsible for conducting all raw material, in-process, and finished product analyses as well as any special testing as required.

•    You will be expected to communicate testing results efficiently & effectively to Operations Team Members.
•    You must be able to read and understand all laboratory standard procedures.
•    You must comply with and follow all laboratory SOPs and methods to perform accurate and precise testing.
•    You will be supporting the Chemist in assessing/evaluating new equipment and/or new methods.
•    You will be responsible for ensuring environmental and quality regulatory compliance by completing training requirements, disposing of lab chemicals and materials according to regulations, and performing safety checks as required.
•    Your duties will include supporting the maintenance and calibration of laboratory instrumentation by keeping them clean and operational according to laboratory procedures.
•    You will be expected to participate actively in ICL's safety program, always seeking areas of opportunity and promoting safety in all actions, as well as participating in monthly safety meetings.
•    You will actively participate in supporting Quality Culture in the plant.
•    Your duties include assisting the Plant Emergency Brigade by making announcements over the plant PA system and notifying the Brigade and/or contacting outside agencies to assist with plant emergencies.
•    You must be able to work required overtime when necessary.

What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role? 
•    Associate or Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university or five years in a quality assurance analytical laboratory preferred. 
•    Ability to perform algebraic math skills.
•    Must possess computer skills (Microsoft Office Products).
•    Strong customer service and communication skills.
•    Strong safety background/orientation.
•    Ability to work independently & under pressure.
•    Demonstrated ability to work with other members of a team.
•    Ability to work off shifts including weekends and holidays.

Compensation at ICL: If you are hired at ICL, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. We also offer a generous benefits package (more information on benefits listed below).
 

Salary Range: $24.04 - $26.44

Annual Bonus Target: 3%, subject to plan provisions.
