I’m interested! What will I get to do in this position?


  • Daily interactions on shop floor with operators and maintenance technicians to support their needs.
  • Monitor production data and develop corrective actions and improvement plans, as needed. 
  • Troubleshoot processes (chemical, mechanical, electrical, and process controls).
  • Demonstrate applied knowledge of unit operations.
  • Identify and promote new and innovative technologies.
  • Support process design/redesign.
  • Identiy and drive cost improvements.
  • Participate in customer/supplier visits/audits.
  • Provide off-shift assistance/support, as needed.
  • Provide training and education to maintenance and operations, as needed.
  • Continually develop technical knowledge and expertise. 
  • Effectively communicate/interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Maintain routine communication with all functional areas and levels of the plant.

What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?


  • B.S. degree Chemical Engineering required
  • 2+ years of chemical manufacturing experience required, additional years of experience preferred 
  • Demonstrated analytical and independent decision-making skills
  • Ability to develop and work independently and in a team/leader capacity
  • Knowledge of manufacturing techniques including plant operations.
  • Process Improvement, creativity, and innovation
  • Excellent Technical Skills
  • Excellent organization and documentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all levels of the organization


What will set you apart?


  • Demonstrated process improvement and technical engineering experience in manufacturing/chemical plant setting
  • Demonstrated leadership ability to function as a lead process engineer
  • Knowledge and experience in more than one engineering discipline
  • 2D/3D AutoCAD/Solidworks proficiency a plus
  • Understanding of basic electrical and control systems a plus
  • Chemical/food plant experience highly desirable


ICL Level: 14-15 commensurate with experience
