The Role
It is the responsibility of all Sales Managers to maximize the sales by maximizing the sales teams efforts to targeted customers and to strive for growth of all ICL Growing Solutions products in the dedicated market segment and region.
The Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
The Sales department is responsible to lead the business, to fulfill sales strategy and reach the determined annual sales targets.
⦁ Market knowhow/trends
⦁ Sales & Distribution Strategy
⦁ Customer Relations Management
⦁ Visit/meet distributors/end-users/growers to promote & position the products and create demand
⦁ Annual Sales Planning and Actions in defined region/country/area
⦁ Annual MarCom Planning and Actions in defined region/country/area
⦁ Contribute to marketing planning and implementation
⦁ Identify new product opportunities
⦁ Manager payment (terms and conditions) and actions to secure in time payments
Senior Area Sales Manager:
⦁ Increase sales of products by aggressively pursuing opportunity, to create demand and solicit orders from present or prospective customers.
⦁ Market analysis to develop and maintain an accurate market description (market segment, market size, market potential, ICL SF market share).
⦁ Reporting on marketing activities with information and opportunities that affect current and future business.
⦁ Visit/meet end-users and growers to promote the products and sell solutions/programs
⦁ Customer relations management (CRM) with the CRM tool.
⦁ Product forecasting on volume of customers and provide this input to country manager.
⦁ Assist Country Sales Manager to select, evaluate, improve, and motivate dealers and distributors by establishing realistic performance goals, activity plans and conducting appropriate training.
⦁ Cooperation with Marketing on specific market/crop related activities, recommendation and follow up of product trial together with the area agronomist
⦁ Prepare together with Marketing and Agronomy new product / service concepts.
⦁ Complaint handling of customers complaints in accordance with the company policy and advise management promptly of any situation beyond this scope of authority.
⦁ Budget: accomplish the sales quote for the market and the agreed expense and marketing budgets.
⦁ Support colleague Area Sales Managers by close management and providing specialized knowledge of the current use and benefits of the ICL SF products, market policy and distribution policy.
⦁ Ethical Business Code, strive for a model of excellence in ethical and fair conduct of business. Maintain an excellent relationship with dealers, research centers, governmental authorities, and act in accordance with agreements made between ICL SF and the parties involved in marketing ICL SF products.

Education:
⦁ University or BSc preferably in Horticulture / Agriculture or equivalent
⦁ Agronomy degree
Knowledge:
⦁ Fluent in verbal and writing in English
⦁ MS-Office (Word, Excel. Powerpoint) experience at user level
⦁ Soil and plant nutrition
Experience:
⦁ Large affinity with the horticultural industry
⦁ Thorough experience in sales in horticultural or agricultural business is preferred
⦁ Fertilizer and nursery knowledge is preferred
