As our agronomist in Turkey, you will be the interface between Marketing, Sales, and our customers to further develop and drive the short- and long-term demand growth of our ICL Fertilizers brands in Tukey. You will support the growth and development of our product categories using ICL resources of Potash, Water-Soluble Fertilizers, Control Release Fertilizers, Foliar Fertilizers, MAP, MKP, Polysulphate, biostimulant and more. 

 

About the role:
You will co-ordinate trials and demonstration with our products and report results ready to use for commercial purposes. Give agronomic training to dealers and customers and support the sales of ICL fertilizer products by applying practices using solid science based agronomic principles.

 

Your main responsibilities will be: 

  • Set up demonstration trials at Farmer Specialized Cooperative/retailer/large growers’ level, gather and analyze data to demonstrate product benefits of the ICL Fertilizers portfolio.
  • Provide effective advice to large end users to support our products; work closely with large end users to ensure proper usage of our products in various crops and help to create highest customer satisfaction.
  • Advise on the creation of unique and specific formulations for the key target crops to regional sales manager, the product development - and marketing department.
  • Support sales activities of the sales departments by providing product field performance data and ready to use value equations for large end users.
  • Give technical support, such as trainings, field trial assistance and technical demonstrations to our distributors and end-users.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with end-users, research centers and governmental authorities.
  • Seek new markets in either new users and or new product opportunities to expand the business.
  • Work closely with the Product Development & Agronomy team on continuous product performance improvement programs and create innovations that meet market needs.
  • Contribute to professional marketing and scientific communication deliverables like technical articles, product descriptions, presentations etc.

 

In this role you will report to our Turkey Country lead and dotted to the chief agronomist and work closely with the sales, marketing, and the Agronomy team.
 

About you
To be successful in this role you have the right combination of agriculture knowledge (Msc in agronomy / soil science / plant nutrition; PhD in agronomy is an advantage) and commercial experience. You gained experience in fertilizer (or related, like pesticide or seeds) business. Most importantly you bring the right personality and mindset to this role. You have the freedom to create but we also need you to be active and drive the change. You have an eye for innovation and are updated in your field. People see you as an expert and you know how to bring people on board on your ideas and create market value for them. 

 

  • Must possess a strong understanding of sound agronomic practices in various agro-climatic regions and multitude of field crops, horticulture and plantation crops.
  • Solid understanding of Fertilizer Formulation, Properties, and use.
  • High level of ‘Digital Literacy’ - PC Skills to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Proficient in Applied Statistics in the field of Agriculture.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time in month.
  • Languages: Turkish and English are required.
