Job Description

ICL is seeking a dynamic Technical Field Research Manager to support our sales initiatives by conducting trials, developing integrated solutions, and providing evidence-based advice.

 

About the role

The Technical Field Research Manager will play a crucial role in supporting sales initiatives through scientific testing and development of the Turf and Landscape product portfolio. This role focuses on conducting scientific trials, developing integrated solutions, and ensuring the provision of sustainable and responsible product advice. The position also aims to influence the turf market with evidence-based results, aligned with ICL's core technical values of product performance, research-backed claims, and sustainable innovation.

 

  • Scientific Product Evaluation: Conduct scientific screening of new turf and landscape products to assess performance and suitability.
  • Manage Trials: Oversee both internal and external trials to support the development of new products and integrated turf management programmes.
  • User Trials: Establish and help manage user trials for new and existing products, ensuring product performance is validated through real-world applications
  • Product Innovation: Collaborate with ICL’s R&D team to generate new ideas and solutions for the turf and landscape market.
  • Reporting: Create detailed trial reports and technical summaries for internal use and for customers, ensuring all trial-based information is clear and well-documented.
  • Sales Support: Assist area managers by providing technical, trial-based information to support sales strategies and distributor engagement.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and technical teams to ensure product alignment and market support.
  • Industry Representation: Represent the company at industry events, showcasing research outcomes and reinforcing ICL’s technical brand presence.

About You

  • A background in agronomy, horticulture, or a related scientific field
  • Strong knowledge of turf and landscape management practices
  • Proven experience in conducting and managing scientific trials
  • Excellent technical writing and reporting skills
  • The ability to collaborate across departments and work effectively in a team
  • Familiarity with sustainable practices within the turf and landscape industry
