Production Operator

As the Production Operator, you will handle all facets of industrial chemical manufacturing: material handling, adding chemicals to mixing tanks and hoppers, tending dryers and mills, packaging and palletizing product, managing automated production equipment using computer-based controls, driving forklift trucks, and keeping workplace clean and safe.

Location: This position will be based at our manufacturing plant located in Hammond, Indiana.
Hours/Shift: This position will work 8 hour shifts (rotating between days and nights 6am-2; 2-10pm; 10-6) (M-F). Candidates must be able to accommodate this schedule.
I’m interested! What will I get to do in this position?
- Move materials by hand, crane, and forklift truck
- Manage production equipment and materials for mixing, milling, drying, and packaging of powders and liquids
- Ensure products are made safely, on time, of good quality, at minimum cost
- Maintain clean work environment
- Assist shipping, receiving, and maintenance
- Assist foremen to diagnose equipment failures and repair if possible
- Other work as assigned
What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Proficiency driving forklift trucks
- Strong ESH cultural awareness
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Computer literacy; working knowledge of MS Office applications
What will set me apart?
- 1+ year experience in an industrial chemical manufacturing environment, preferred
- Sound technical aptitudes (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, instrumentation, controls)
- Experience with hand tools and minor maintenance

Compensation at ICL: If you are hired at ICL, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. We also offer a generous benefits package (more information on benefits listed below).
Salary Range: $30.78
Annual Bonus Target: 3%, subject to plan provisions.
