Job Description
As the Plant Office Manager, you will be the heartbeat of our plant operations acting as the essential link that keeps our plant and corporate offices in perfect harmony. Your role is pivotal in ensuring seamless operations by providing topnotch support services for production and maintenance departments regarding purchasing, accounting, payroll, IT, and human resources.
Where is this position located?
This position will work onsite at our manufacturing plant in Hammond, Indiana.
I’m interested! What will I get to do in this position?
- Provide administrative support across various departments (plant, production, ESH&S, engineering, maintenance, quality).
- Maintain supplies for office, facilities, PPE, production, and consumables.
- Manage spare parts storeroom and vendor inventory programs. Perform monthly cycle counts of maintenance stock items.
- Participate in weekly maintenance planning meetings and ensure parts availability for scheduled tasks.
- Procure and distribute parts and supplies for the plant.
- Create and manage service entries and purchase orders.
- Maintain master equipment files.
- Create and manage material numbers, bill of materials, work orders, etc.
- Act as the main contact for 3rd party product sampling services, ensuring inventory is stocked.
- Handle special shipping requests, ensuring compliance with DOT/IMDG/IATA regulations and documentation.
- Answer general calls, direct truckers, receive visitors, and manage mail.
- Oversee weekly timekeeping for payroll.
- Take part in safety, quality, operations, and maintenance meetings.
What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?
- High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong computer skills, including experience using MS Office, (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication abilities.
- Strong leadership qualities and a team-oriented mindset.
What will set me apart?
- Experience using ERP and or CMMS applications, preferably SAP.
- 5+ years’ experience as an Administrative Assistant or in office management preferred.
Compensation at ICL:
If you are hired at ICL, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. We also offer a generous benefits package (more information on benefits listed below).
Salary Range: $50,000 - $66,000
Annual Bonus Target: 5%, subject to plan provisions.
