Reports to: Global Commercial Lead (Paints & Coatings)
Position Reporting to this Role: Marketing Communications Coordinator


Scope:
• Being part of the ICL Paints & Coatings Team means you will participate in all areas of our business.  This role plays a significant part in marketing & business development, commercial planning & execution, technical development, and raw material approvals just to name a few.  The position allows you to wear many hats and show your flexibility to impact all aspects of this growth platform within ICL Phosphate Specialty business.
• The ICL P&C Team represents products with extensive applications, strong brand recognition, and established value added technical service components which deliver solutions to the paint manufacturers on a global scale.  You will help shape where the business goes & grows as the Market Development Manager determines what the industry needs and provides direction internally on where to focus and how to leverage a specialty platform of products designed to take the customer across the finish line.
• As part of a small and nimble division of ICL Phosphate Specialty with a focus on niche additives, you will be part of a team that is recognized internally for delivering innovation and profitability.  ICL has identified our P&C business as a key growth engine as we drive toward long-term sustainability and environmentally friendly solutions for our customers.

• You will be responsible for managing the high value paints & coatings additives marketing & business development on a global level that leverages product portfolio and innovation from strategic planning through to tactical activities optimizing the overall profitability of the Paints & Coatings business, while liaising with other stakeholders in the ICL P&C Business.
• You will lead the development, definition, and completion of business cases in support of P&C projects and facilitate product development, business development and market research efforts.
• You will also support senior management with the 5 Year P&C Business Plan and the annual Marketing Plans and contribute/drive the identification of growth opportunities and unmet market needs and lead the projects to improve the technologies of ICL P&C.
• You will lead project teams to develop portfolio of technologies and products
• Liaison with regulatory colleagues to maintain product registrations in appropriate states and/or countries
• You will provide rationale for annual budget to support the marketing communication and product development plan
• You will contribute to Commercial strategy
• Liaise with R&D for new product development
• Marketing Intelligence – You will seek product and market opportunities to expand the business
• You will organize effective marketing communication activities together with the Marketing Communication Coordinator
• Provide support to commercial sales and technical colleagues
• You will partner with Tech Service, Sales, and Product Development Team members to develop beta customer field trials plan
• You will identify and help evaluate potential acquisitions in Paints & Coatings to strengthen the company’s strategy to focus on improving the durability and stability of customers’ coating systems
• You will network with other experts in the industry e.g. coatings associations, institutes & universities

Required Experience:
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree required. Degree in Chemistry (coatings, organic or polymer), Chemical Engineering, or related field from an accredited college or university is preferred.
• Minimum 5-7 years of chemicals marketing and/or technical sales experience
• Proven track record of success in start to finish business development strategies, including, but not limited to product launches, market research, specialty portfolio growth, increased profitability of the portfolio, and segment growth, as well as sales relationship management skills. Preferably experienced in High Performance Coatings market segments.
• Experience with, and understanding of, marketing concepts, business case development, new product blueprinting, and customer relationship techniques. Working knowledge of distribution and end-user customer models a plus. Must clearly demonstrate analytical ability and project management skills.
• Management experience preferred.
