As the Site Director, you will be a strategic business partner, managing all aspects of the Gallipolis Ferry (GF) site, including production, quality, logistics, engineering and EHS. You will maintain site spending within budgeted parameters.  This position is responsible for capital projects, union relations and represents the company within the local community.  You will lead the RC 14001 program at GF and ensure adequate resources are provided to maintain the certification.

  • Establish long-term goals and objectives to drive best practices and continuous improvement within the site.
  • Maintain production and quality to ensure sales needs are met in a cost effective manner.
  • Understand and evaluate financial information and make sound business judgments based on the available information.
  • Ensure site compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure safe working practices, focusing on reduction and elimination of injuries on site.
  • Define site investment needs; develop and execute capital investment plan.
  • Lead the implementation of Operational Excellence practices.
  • Leverage technology and innovation to boost productivity and improve operational efficiency.
  • Maintain good working relationship with the Union, including responsibility for negotiation and administration of labor agreements.
  • Obtain and maintain site registration of ISO standards.
  • Foster employee engagement and actively promote workplace satisfaction.
  • Build and strengthen professional and managerial capabilities across the site.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

What skills or experience do I need to be successful in this role?
 

  • A bachelor’s degree is required; a major in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field is strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years’ management experience in a manufacturing company. 
  • Strong organization/leadership skills. 
  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate vision into action.
  • Proven planning, project management, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and embed cross-organizational change.
  • Excellent managerial skills with the ability to resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Resilience and ability to perform under pressure in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

 

What will set me apart?

 

  • MBA in management preferred.  
  • Leadership experience in a unionized setting preferred.
  • Proven experience in site management, with accountability for safety, operations, and financial results – preferred.


Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):

Compensation at ICL: If you are hired at ICL, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. We also offer a generous benefits package (more information on benefits listed below).


Salary Range: $156,000 - $200,000

 

Annual Bonus Target: 25%, subject to plan provisions.
