Project Engineer

Job Description

As the Project Engineer, you will analyze, prioritize, design, and implement assigned projects using an optimized combination of plant and contract services.  Manage projects to ensure cost, timing, and benefits are achieved.

•    Execute project prioritization selection process.
•    Manage capital project and execution (i.e. process optimization and new product implementation) to ensure OTIF (on time in full) and project quality.
•    Design capital projects (macro and plant specific detail) to meet performance targets.
•    Manage professional services, contractor, and construction resources.
•    Create or update all process; project; equipment; drawings; and spare parts, applicable to assigned projects.
•    Communicate as appropriate in the achievement of department, site, and business goals.
•    All other duties as assigned.

What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role? 
•    Bachelor’s Degree in engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical) or related field with equivalent job experience.   
•    A minimum of 3 years of project engineering work experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.
•    Chemical manufacturing experience in a union environment.  SPC (statistical process control).  
•    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment along with managing multiple projects/priorities/tasks simultaneously.
•    May require travel and overtime.
•    Computer skills- Microsoft Office, Outlook, and SAP
•    Project management
•    Supervision of multi-craft maintenance employees
•    Successful candidate must be able to work with controlled technology in accordance with US export control laws and regulations.

ICL Job Level:  15 – 16 depending on experience

Salary Range: $68,000 - $127,000

Annual Bonus Target: 7%, subject to plan provisions.
