As North American Growing Solutions Operations Manager and Fresno Site Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing all Growing Solutions (GS) operational sites across North America while serving as the Site Manager for the Fresno facility. This role provides end-to-end accountability for safety, operational excellence, environmental compliance, quality, financial performance, and continuous improvement across the region.

 

The position currently oversees three operational sites, with responsibility expected to expand as additional facilities are integrated through mergers, acquisitions, and business growth initiatives. The role carries full accountability for regional operational performance and serves as the central operational leadership position for Growing Solutions in North America. The position is based out of our Fresno, California site and reports to the SVP, Global Operations, Growing Solutions.

North America Operations Leadership

  • Provide strategic leadership, oversight, and operational management for all Growing Solutions operational sites in North America.
  • Standardize and drive alignment of operational processes, safety programs, quality systems, and performance expectations across all sites.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure achievement of business objectives.
  • Accountable for operational performance across all North American GS sites, including safety, quality, service, productivity, operational income, working capital, and capital deployment.
  • Lead regional operational excellence initiatives focused on productivity, cost optimization, quality improvement, and service performance.
  • Partner closely with commercial, supply chain, procurement, engineering, and global operations teams to support business goals.
  • Support business growth initiatives, including new product introductions, process improvements, and capacity expansion projects.
  • Lead integration efforts associated with mergers, acquisitions, and business expansion, ensuring seamless incorporation of new facilities into the North American operations network.

 

Fresno Site Management

  • Serve as the Fresno Site Manager with overall responsibility for site operations, employee safety, regulatory compliance, and operational performance.
  • Ensure full compliance with all environmental, health, safety (EHS), and regulatory requirements, as well as company standards and sustainability objectives.
  • Foster a strong safety culture and drive continuous improvement in environmental, health, and safety performance.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

 

Operations & Manufacturing Excellence

  • Develop and execute production plans while maximizing efficiency, productivity, and asset utilization.
  • Drive operational excellence through Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ensure product quality standards are consistently achieved through effective quality management systems.
  • Oversee production, maintenance, quality, logistics, engineering, and planning functions to achieve operational goals.
  • Ensure manufacturing assets are maintained through effective preventive and predictive maintenance programs.

 

Financial & Capital Management

  • Develop and manage site operating budgets and deliver financial performance objectives. Accountable for delivery of annual operating income targets, cost improvement objectives, and capital project execution commitments. 
  • Plan and execute capital investment projects in alignment with approved capital expenditure (CAPEX) plans.

 

People Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop site leadership and operational teams.
  • Build organizational capability through talent development, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, employee engagement, and continuous improvement.

 

What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering or science discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, including responsibility for production operations and site management.
  • Demonstrated experience leading managers and multi-site manufacturing organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, EHS management systems, quality systems, and operational excellence principles.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience within chemical, fertilizer, industrial manufacturing, or other process manufacturing environments.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver operational and financial results.
  • This position is based in Fresno, California and requires regular travel to Adel, Georgia, and other Growing Solutions operational sites throughout North America.  Frequent travel throughout North America is required to support operational oversight, leadership engagement, performance improvement initiatives, and integration activities.

PPE

Compensation at ICL: If you are hired at ICL, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. We also offer a generous benefits package (more information on benefits listed below).


Salary Range: $132,000 - $180,000 annually (final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors.)


Annual Bonus Target: 25%, subject to plan provisions.
