As the Machine Operator, you will be responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of automated bagging equipment to ensure timely and accurate packaging of products. This role involves operating machinery, ensuring adherence to safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

 

Machine Operation:

  • Operate, monitor, and adjust bagging machines to ensure proper function and maximum efficiency.
  • Start and stop the machine according to work schedules.

Quality Assurance:

  • Conduct regular checks to ensure accurate weights, proper sealing, and compliance with company standards.
  • Inspect finished products for defects and make adjustments as needed.

Maintenance:

  • Perform routine maintenance, such as cleaning and lubrication, to keep machines in optimal working condition.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues.
  • Report significant mechanical problems to the maintenance team promptly.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Follow all safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ensure the work area is clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
  • Adhere to company policies.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the production team to meet daily and weekly targets.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding any production issues or supply needs.


What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Familiarity with packaging line equipment.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Capability of multi-tasking and working in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to climb stairs on a frequent basis.
  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in environments with noise, dust, or varying temperatures.

 

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): At ICL, maintaining a safe and healthy workplace is a top priority. Employees are required to wear appropriate PPE based on the task and environment. This may include safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face masks, and, when necessary, full hazmat suits with respirators. Adherence to PPE protocols ensures the safety and well-being of all team members.

Compensation at ICL: If you are hired at ICL, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. We also offer a generous benefits package (more information on benefits listed below).


Salary Range: $18 - $20.50

 

Annual Bonus Target: Harvest and Christmas discretionary bonus
