As the Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant facility environment within the Fresno plant. This role performs routine janitorial and light maintenance tasks to support plant operations and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards in an agricultural chemical manufacturing setting.

I’m interested! What will I get to do in this position? 

 

Facility Cleaning & Upkeep:

  • Perform daily cleaning of common areas, restrooms, offices, and production spaces.
  • Handle waste disposal, including proper segregation and disposal of chemical-related materials per company and regulatory guidelines.

Maintenance Support:

  • Conduct minor repairs and upkeep of facility equipment, fixtures, and infrastructure.
  • Assist with preventive maintenance tasks as directed by the Assistant Operations Manager.

Safety & Compliance:

  • Follow all OSHA, EPA, and company safety protocols when handling cleaning chemicals and performing tasks.
  • Report any hazards, spills, or maintenance issues promptly.

Inventory & Supplies:

  • Maintain stock of cleaning and maintenance supplies; request replenishment as needed.
  • Ensure proper storage and labeling of cleaning chemicals.
  • Act as supply runner and retrieve other necessary items for the facility

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with operations and maintenance teams to support plant needs.
  • Provides support for packaging line operations during periods of increased production demand.
  • Participate in safety meetings and training sessions.

 

What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role? 

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1+ years of experience in janitorial, custodial, or maintenance work; industrial or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Valid drivers license, with a clean driving record required. Motor vehicle record is checked as part of the contingency process.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs 
  • Must be able to work outdoors in a range of weather conditions, including heat, humidity, and direct sunlight.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
At ICL, maintaining a safe and healthy workplace is a top priority. Employees are required to wear appropriate PPE based on the task and environment. This may include safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face masks, and, when necessary, full hazmat suits with respirators. Adherence to PPE protocols ensures the safety and well-being of all team members.

Compensation at ICL: If you are hired at ICL, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. We also offer a generous benefits package (more information on benefits listed below).


Salary Range: $17.40 - 20.00/ hour


Annual Bonus Target: Harvest and Christmas bonus
