Corporate Accountant

As the finance team member, you will be responsible for providing accounting oversight to all ICL US locations and employees. You will also be responsible for adherence to financial policies, internal controls, HQ general accounting, month/yearend financial closing, special projects, budgets, and intercompany accounting.

Location Requirements: This role is home-based and fully remote within Mexico.

Major Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

• Prepare journals entries, accruals, and assist with monthly/yearly close process
• Help ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close
• Prepare account reconciliations for accuracy and completeness
• lntercompany Accounting - Reconcile and confirm intercompany balances
• Propose settlements of intercompany accounts
• Prepare intercompany service invoices
• Monitor intercompany loans, to include loan agreement terms, interest calculations, postings, and payments.
• Help develop and implement policies and procedures with emphasis on internal controls
• Responds to inquiries from Finance Management and companywide managers regarding financial results, special reporting requests and the like.
• Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.
• Assist in gathering information for audit requests as needed
• Support Accounting Manager with special projects and workflow process improvements

Required Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
• A minimum of 3 years experience in an Accounting or Finance role
• English proficiency required (speaking, reading, and writing)
• Experience communicating with upper management
• Organized and timely completion of all aspects of the job
• Ability to work independently to successfully complete assignments
• Outstanding computer system skills, with advanced skills in MS Excel
• High attention to detail, yet able to view the big picture
• Able to adhere to deadlines.
• Team contributor who successfully manages their day-to-day work independently
• Good interpersonal communication skills and a strong work ethic
• Strength in managing multiple tasks in a cross-functional environment

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• SOX audit experience
• R3 SAP experience in Fl and CO is highly desired
• Ability to understand foreign currency transactions
