INDUSTRIAL PROJECT ENGINEER


For our production plant in Caffiers, France, we are looking for a full-time Project Engineer

                 
Main goals of the role:
You are responsible for investment projects linked to process, energy, and environment, as part of the investment plan. You will carry out preliminary studies corresponding to the following topics, in collaboration with other departments of SCORA (Quality, HSE, R&D, Maintenance, Production, CSSCT): reliability, increase of production capacity and reduction of losses, adaptation of the production tool to new commercial demands, reduction of industrial risks and energy savings.

And you will also:

  • Build up technical specifications and evaluate the corresponding investments.
  • Consult suppliers in collaboration with ICL’s procurement department.
  • Ensure project management during the work phases.
  • Ensure commissioning of new equipment and processes.

Regarding Quality and EHS:

  • Respect and ensure compliance with safety and hygiene rules throughout the site as the site has Iso 45001, Iso 9001, FSSC22000, GMP parts 1 and 2 certifications.
  • Participate in changes control and qualification protocols (QI/QO/QP).
  • Supervise the testing and development phases of new equipment.

Regarding Operational Excellence:

  • Management of the Operational Excellence: 5S, FMECA, communication between production and maintenance, continuous improvement, technical meetings and working groups.
  • Leading our BIG program: ICL program of innovation.

 

Your profile (m/f/x)
Industrial Engineer or Process Engineering, graduated, you have at least 10 years of experience acquired in the chemical or pharmaceutical/agri-food industry as a project manager.
  
Your skills:
Organizing 

  • Design and manage an industrial development project.
  • Fluent technical English required.
  • Analysis and synthesis skills to gather technical and organizational information and propose solutions.
  • Ability to anticipate and detect malfunctions, you are experienced in problem-solving methods (“out of the box thinking”).
  • Responsiveness to study a technical solution as quickly as possible to meet the needs of the production or commercial teams.

Technical

  • Knowledge in chemical and/or agri-food process engineering. P&ID design.
  • Knowledge in electricity, instrumentation, and automation: build up functional analysis specification for project automation.
  • As part of the decarbonization plan, essential knowledge of energy and fluid mechanics to define the most suitable technical solutions.
  • NB: interesting heat losses recovery projects are in perspective.
  • Innovation and new technologies oriented to find competitive solutions adapted to production or commercial project.
