A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a candidate looking to progress a career within a training department. The ideal candidate will be someone who has experience and knowledge in providing administration support to members of the training team and the day-to-day administration of training activities. Produce training materials, maintaining training records, maintaining confidentiality where appropriate in relation to ICL matters keeping any information about individuals, operations or projects confidential.

Role’s purpose: 


  • Organise on-site training activities. For example; “T” days, internal courses provided by CPL and internal courses provided by external training providers. 
  • Organise off-site training activities with training providers. 
  • Support Training Manager and Senior Training officer in the facilitation of other company training where required and where competent to do so.
  • Produce training manuals / modules for all ICL Boulby operations. 
  • Assist Technical trainers in producing training materials. 
  • Produce training reports through the LMS. 
  • Produce Word, Excel and PowerPoint training materials for internal training courses. 
  • Produce documentation / letters etc. on a daily basis for Training Manager, Senior Training Officer.
  • Keep electronic training records up to date LMS (Learning management system). 
  • Keep hard-copy training records and filing up to date. 
  • Use internal training processes and procedures for all aspects of the training cycle (joining instructions, attendance sheets, evaluation sheets etc.). 
  • Produce training reports for Training Manager and SLT information.
  • Raise training dept. purchase orders for all training activities. 
  • Record status of purchase orders through ledger / accounts book. 
  • “Book in” purchase orders and monitor invoices.

Knowledge and Skills: 


  • Experienced user of MS Office i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access. 
  • Experience in a training function (desirable)

Required Qualifications/Certificates/Experience: 

Level 2 Skills for Life which incorporates: 



ITQ  or evidence of GCSE equivalent/higher 

Effective Communication Skills. 

A minimum of a level II Certificate in business administration (or equivalent). 

IOSH Working Safely.
