Join ICL Boulby as part of the onsite electrical team supporting surface, underground and Teesdock to install, commission and maintain the site wide control systems and PLC networks ensuring they operate in a safe and effective manner. About the job

• Conduct remedial, preventative or installation work according to priorities agreed with the Control Systems Engineer.
• Carry out day to day fault finding and plant assistance.
• Provide technical support to the electrical engineering teams.
• Participate in business waste reduction initiatives & energy saving opportunities.
• Review systems on day-to-day basis.
• Conduct risk assessments and method statements as required.
• Utilise the Permit to Work system, issuing permits as required under the relevant authorisation levels.
• Gather information from inspection reports and discussions with colleagues to allow appropriate action to be taken towards solution implementation.
• Offer suggestions for improvements in safety, performance and working practices.
• Be a flexible and proactive team member, contributing knowledge and experience to the group. 
• Demonstrate self-motivation, discipline and focus.

About you

• You must be a time-served electrician in electrical and electronic engineering or instrumentation engineering.
• NVQ Level 3 in electrical and electronic engineering or instrumentation engineering.
• HNC Level 4 in electrical and electronic engineering or instrumentation engineering.
• Experience in the installation, commissioning, and maintenance in a heavy industrial environment.
• A working experience of SAP PM, Microsoft Office Software, SCADA & PLC programming.
• Knowledge of engineering maintenance techniques.
• Appreciation of the Electricity at Work regulations.
• Understanding of BS 7671: Wiring regulations.
• Certification in Risk Assessment and IOSH Working Safely
• Effective Communication Skills

• Condition monitoring
