E&I Technician

Are you a highly motivated and skilled E&I Technician looking to join a dynamic team and contribute to our success? Our team is dedicated to maintaining a safe and efficient working environment while driving innovation and sustainability.

The main responsibilities will be:

• Work as part of the Surface maintenance team to ensure machinery and equipment perform safely and effectively.
• Execute maintenance inspections and remedial work as required.
• Follow all relevant safety procedures including Permit to Work and Clearance to Work.
• Attend and participate in toolbox talks.
• Carry out risk assessments and implement method statements.
• Plan, risk assess, and execute workload as required.
• Provide feedback to team members and supervisors.
• Offer suggestions for improvements in equipment safety, design, and performance.
• Demonstrate self-motivation, discipline, and focus.
• Provide clear and concise reports of work carried out and work required.
• Liaise with engineering and operational staff as well as contractors.
• Interpret and act upon technical information effectively.

About you
You bring the following qualifications: 

• Time-served tradesman with experience in maintenance of heavy equipment, ideally gained in a processing plant, mine, or similar heavy industrial environment.
• Understanding of process and distribution engineering, familiarity with condition monitoring techniques advantageous.
• Appreciation of electricity at Work regulations, knowledge and understanding of BS 7671: Wiring regulations.
• Level 2 Skills for Life or evidence of GCSE equivalent/higher.
• Time Served apprenticeship in an electrical discipline.
• HNC in electrical engineering desirable.
• IOSH Working Safely certified.
• 17th Edition Wiring Regulations Certified.
• BS7671 Relevant Qualification.
• Effective communication skills.
